GalaxyCon San Jose 2026 Dates Bumped Forward a Week

It’s no April Fool’s gag. GalaxyCon has announced a schedule change for its 2026 San Jose event, shifting the convention one week later to August 28–30, 2026.

The adjustment comes after a facility scheduling conflict, and all previously purchased tickets will automatically transfer to the new dates. Fans who can’t make the updated weekend can request a refund by emailing the GalaxyCon team, with processing expected within seven business days.

The San Jose stop is entering its third year on the GalaxyCon tour, which has grown into one of the larger and more recognizable multi‑genre fan conventions in the U.S. Known for its mix of celebrity meet‑and‑greets, voice actor panels, cosplay contests, gaming zones, and sprawling vendor halls, GalaxyCon events typically draw large crowds in cities like Raleigh, Richmond, Columbus, and Minneapolis. San Jose has quickly become a strong West Coast anchor for the event series.

What the Change Means for Attendees

  • Tickets: No action required for fans keeping their plans; refunds available for those who can’t attend the new dates.
  • Vendors: Approved vendors will receive direct communication, with similar transfer or refund options.
  • Guests: GalaxyCon is working to reconfirm previously announced guests for the new weekend.

While the 2026 guest list hasn’t been re‑announced yet, GalaxyCon’s recent lineups have included actors from major sci‑fi franchises, animation icons, pro wrestlers, comic creators, and gaming personalities. So fans should expect a familiar mix once confirmations resume. To keep on top of any updates or further changes, we’ll keep tabs on updates or check in with the official GalaxyCon San Jose website and their socials for more information.
