Juntos: Game Jam for Venezuela Earthquake Relief

Two weeks ago, Global Game Jam organizers in Venezuela reached out to ask for our help as an organization. Following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, they wanted to organize a game jam to support earthquake relief efforts.

Yesterday, Global Game Jam and World Food Program USA announced Juntos: Game Jam for Venezuela Earthquake Relief.

This game jam and fundraising initiative will bring developers from across the region and around the world together for a shared cause to help members of our GGJ community and their communities.

The fundraiser is now open, and the jam will run July 24–26. All donations go directly to the World Food Programme’s relief efforts in Venezuela.

Event Details

Juntos: Game Jam for Venezuela Earthquake Relief, a virtual game jam, will take place July 24-26.

The event will include:

  • A virtual kickoff event on July 24
  • An online game jam from July 24 – 26
  • A showcase of submitted games on August 5

You don’t need to donate to jam, and you don’t need to jam to donate.
