We’ve put together another great list of events you can attend for August 2025! The month is shaping up to be a much more mixed bag of conferences, conventions, and even a few educational events. The summer is looking bright with options for everyone at all levels of game industry involvement.
gamescom (August 20-24) is easily the highlight of the month with its huge attendance numbers from casual to professionals. If you had one event to attend and haven’t been there before, go to gamescom. We, on the other hand, won’t be able to make it, but are looking forward to attending QuakeCon (August 7-10) in Grapevine, TX. QuakeCon is a LAN party stylized event at its core. Then there’s the Serious Play Conference (August 13-15), a leadership conference for professionals who are exploring the use of game-based learning.
There are plenty of conferences and conventions in this month’s lineup to explore. It’s a full calendar, and I can’t wait to see what surprises come out of it all. Many of the conferences listed will also have sessions and discussions about the state of the industry that continue from events earlier in the year.
