Video of the Month — Rolling the Dice in Las Vegas to be an Award-Winner at the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards

For February’s Video of the Month, we spotlight the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, streamed live from Las Vegas as the finale to the 2026 D.I.C.E. Summit, which was held in Las Vegas from February 10-12. This year’s ceremony, hosted by Greg Miller and Stella Chung, brought together developers, creators, and industry leaders to recognize achievements across interactive entertainment. The winners were selected by members of the Academy, which gives the results more of a peer‑driven perspective.

The full broadcast runs just over 90 minutes, with this broadcast hosted on the GameTrailers YouTube account The recording presents the event from start to finish, beginning with the hosts’ introduction and continuing through each award category.

In this video, the opening remarks begin almost immediately, with the first award presentation starts at just after the six minute mark. A mid‑show segment highlighting the AIAS Foundation’s mentorship programs appears at mid-point, about 47 minutes in, followed by a feature on the Game Maker’s Sketchbook initiative. The final award (the drum roll moment) of the night, Game of the Year, is presented near the end at just after the 91 minute point.

Beyond the awards, the broadcast includes short features that outline the broader goals of the D.I.C.E. Summit. These sections focus on professional development, community support, and recognition of creative work across the industry. They provide additional context for how the summit functions as more than just another awards ceremony.

For viewers who follow industry trends, the D.I.C.E. Awards offer a respected and clear overview of the titles and creators that shaped the past year, and it may also signal other award outcomes for indie and established game developers in the near future. The ceremony highlights innovations in design, storytelling, technology, and artistic direction, as well as providing a snapshot of the projects and studios that are influencing the direction of the medium.
