Indie Prize Showcase Winners Announced at Casual Connect Asia

SINGAPORE – May 22, 2014 – The hosts of Casual Connect Asia, the Casual Games Association, today announced the winners of Casual Connect Asia’s Indie Prize Awards.

Indie Prize Winners:

BEST GAME AUDIO – Dusty Revenge by PD Design Studio, Singapore
BEST STORY – Petite by Seven Summits Studio, India
MOST INNOVATIVE GAME – Snip and Chu by Clicker Interactive, Australia
MOST PROMISING GAME IN DEVELOPMENT – Trigger Princess by Mintsphere, Indonesia
BEST DESKTOP GAME – Infectonator: Survivors by Toge Productions, Indonesia
BEST MOBILE GAME – King’s League: Odyssey by Kurechii Studio, Malaysia  
BEST FREE-TO-PLAY GAME – Tiny Dice Dungeon by Springloaded, Singapore
MOST PROMINENT FEMALE DEVELOPER – Claire Chen, Keitai, Taiwan
BEST GAME IN SHOW: AUDIENCE CHOICE – Origami by POLM Studio, France
BEST GAME IN SHOW: CRITIC’S CHOICE – Hyper Square by Team Signal, Taiwan

The winners of Best Game in Show received travel and two passes to Casual Connect USA on July 22 -24, where they will participate in the Indie Prize Showcase for that event.

The games were judged by Philip Kendall, RocketNews24, Adrian Tay, AsiaOne, Aaron Yip, GameAxis, Spencer Yip, Siliconera, Steve Taylor, playTMN, Massimo Caporale, Marmalade, Aaron Walz, Walz Music, Tom Sperry, Exit Games, Uri Golan, TabTale, Jason Johnson, Casual Game Guides and a number of selected journalists. The awards were announced in a special ceremony during Casual Connect Asia.

“We are happy to showcase such great games at Casual Connect Asia. With so much talent in one place, we hope developers are able to build lasting relationships with other members of the industry and learn new ideas and ways to be successful while they are a part of the Indie Prize Showcase,” says Yulia Vakhrusheva, Director of Indie Prize.

This showcase was sponsored by the Platinum Sponsor Google Play. Award gifts were donated by Photon Realtime, Sony Computer Entertainment, Unity, Plantronics, Marmalade, and SOOMLA.

The Indie Prize Scholarship provides the opportunity for qualified indie development teams to showcase their games at Casual Connect, a conference for professional developers and publishers in the video game industry.
