News about CES 2021 is starting to pick as we round the seasons toward the autumn of 2020. Earlier this month, Verizon’s Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg was announced as the first keynote for the all-digital CES 2021, The technology show’s organizer, the Consumer Technology Association, has announced the second keynote address.
AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su will keynote during CES 2021, Dr. Su will present the AMD vision for the future of research, education, work, entertainment and gaming, including a portfolio of high-performance computing and graphics solutions.
AMD has begun to ramp up visibility for its upcoming gamer-aligned Radeon 6000 “Big Navi” cards, but not much is known about the specs as of yet. Big Navi’s core technology, AMD”s RDNA2 graphics architecture will be baked into the Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 consoles. But with competitor in the graphics processing unit (GPU) space, NVIDIA, raising the stakes with a series of high-profile announcements, including the acquisition of Arm and the online reveal of the next-gen RTX GPU cards, this keynote will represent an opportunity to present a vision, one which is likely to cover a lot of ground affecting gamers.
In the official press release, Dr. Su commented about her return to CES as a keynote:
