SUMMARY:SiliCon 2022
DESCRIPTION:SiliCon by Adam Savage is a family-friendly technology and culture fan extravaganza that will inspire and entertain with celebrity appearances\, science/tech discussions\, film and TV screenings\, maker workshops\, panels with award-winning authors and artists\, adult and kids cosplay contests and more. Tickets\, photo and autograph opportunities for the August 27-28 event are now available for purchase at www.SiliConSJ.com.\n\nFounded in 2014 as SiliCon Valley Comic Con\, SiliCon was the vision of Rick White and Steve Wozniak as they sought to bring together the best of technology and pop culture. Having grown every year since then\, Adam Savage joined in 2019 to bring a new dimension to the event\, which embraced the maker ethos and community.\n\nAdam has built everything from theater sets to miniature particle accelerators. From spaceships to animatronic arms. He’s made Rube Goldberg machines\, hand props and spacesuits. His online videos have generated over 230 million page views. He’s written for Popular Mechanics\, the Wall Street Journal and Wired Magazine and is a published author with his latest book\, “Every Tool Is A Hammer.” His program “Mythbusters” produced 270 episodes that aired in over 100 countries for 14 years. He is currently Editor in Chief at Tested.\n\nFrom SiliCon: At SiliCon with Adam Savage\, our goal is to bring together people who have long histories of creating\, from filmmakers and actors\, to artists\, authors\, engineers\, scientists\, technologists\, and makers to share their creativity and enthusiasm. We know that the sum of all this interaction is greater than its individual parts. We celebrate the spark we get when we meet new people\, surmount new challenges\, exult and share with each other.\n\nVisit the News Section to search for event news and the Event Calendar for finding other events. \n\n\n	Related
