Video of the Month — Conference Livestreams

Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, many events are being cancelled throughout the year. From Seattle to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, New York, and dozens of other cities around the world, we’ve been updating the Events for Gamers calendar to provide you with the latest details on cancellations and schedule changes.

To survive and perhaps even thrive, several events have migrated online. Entire conference programs are being adapted to livestreams and teleconferencing chats on platforms like Zoom.us, Skype, Twitch and many others. Here are a few of the highlights related to GDC week that have caught our attention:

For the past several years GDC Vault has been the go-to place for accessing recorded and livestreamed programs. More recently they have taken these livestreams to Twitch, broadcasting much of their (formerly in-person 2020 event) content via that channel, and thereafter on-demand, it can be found on their YouTube or GDC Vault channels.

Among some of the many talks that can be accessed are presentations such as GDC 2020 Virtual Talks – Experimental AI Lightning Talk: Hyper Realistic Artifical Voices for Games by Zeena Qureshi:
