Founder of localization company Partnertrans to host session at KGC
Partnertrans co-founder Iris Ludolf is again hosting a localization session, this time at the Korea Games Conference 2010 taking place in Seoul from September 13-15, 2010.
“I am really honored to be part of the 10th anniversary of the Korea Games Conference. This conference is all about trends and development strategies in the global gaming industry, and localization is playing an increasingly pivotal role in the life cycle of a title,” says Ms. Ludolf. “The introduction of online distribution, among others, has created new opportunities in new markets, and the success of any title is greatly enhanced by content that has been professionally localized and adapted for the target territory. In short, a high standard of localization is a crucial part of the development process. We will have a look at some statistics relative to turnover in the gaming sectors in Europe, the US and Asia and then outline what developers and publishers can do to tap into these markets effectively. We'll also discuss how a streamlined process involving all parties will ensure seamless localization and produce the high quality results that everyone wants to achieve. In addition, we will look closely at the standard practices and procedures of a localization agency and demonstrate how its involvement in the project can boost the success of a localized title even further, while also managing all the processes and stages with the utmost efficiency and cost effectiveness!"
“World Domination through Localization" will be held on September 14, from 5.00-6.00 pm in Room 101.
