After hosting the GameHorizon Conference since its launch five years ago in 2008, this year Ian Livingstone is joining the speaker line-up to deliver the opening keynote.
His speech entitled ‘Life is a Game’ will be an entertaining account of his entrepreneurial struggles in the 1970s as co-founder of Games Workshop. He will also talk about launching Dungeons & Dragons, and later publishing the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks including his forthcoming book, Blood of the Zombies, written to mark the 30-year anniversary of the series.
Ian will also talk about life in the video games world, and his recent work with government on skills and access to finance. He will end with the history of Lara Croft:Tomb Raider, and the anticipated release of a new Tomb Raider game this autumn.
GameHorizon Conference Producer, Nina Cliff said, “Ian has been a huge part of the fabric of GameHorizon, contributing to its success over the years. However, this year, we asked Ian to be a keynote and are thrilled that he has accepted”.
