Keiji Inafune, One of the World’s Top 10 Game Producers will lead the keynote at the CGDC 2012

The fifth CGDC will be held in Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai which is next to the Shanghai New International Expo Center from July 25 to 27, 2012.

Recently, the Organizing Committee announced that Keiji Inafune, the former chief producer of CAPCOM who has produced Rock Man, Onimusha, Lost Planet Extreme Condition and other classic games, has been invited as the first keynote speaker of 2012 CGDC. He is also the first famous Japanese game producer to be invited to CGDC for making the keynote speech since the foundation of the event.

As a leading producer of Japan, Keiji Inafune worked in CAPCOM Japan for 25 years. He experienced the heydays of CAPCOM and made Rock Man, Onimusha, Lost Planet Extreme Condition and other classic games as the chief producer of CAPCOM, which has helped establish his high reputation in the game industry.

 In 1987, Keiji Inafune jointed CAPCOM, which was then in high-speed development, and participated in the art and illustration design of Street Fighter. Later, he was dispatched to the console game development department, under the leadership of Fujiwara Tokuro (Representative works: Wolf of the Battle Field, Ghosts’ Gobins), Keiji Inafune took responsibilities to develop the original action game for FC, Rock Man. After that, Keiji Inafune gradually enhanced this work, and presented Rock Man X , Rock Man DASH and other series.

In 1997, Keiji Inafune, who has already been very famous, participated in the production of Resident Evil 2, the full-heart work of CAPCOM, after that, Keiji Inafune was responsible for developing the original new work entitled Onimusha for PS. And so far, the Onimusha series has gained the amazing cumulative sales of 8 million units worldwide and become one the most important brands of CAPCOM. Besides the reputation of making variety of masterpieces, Keiji Inafune also gained a high prestige in Japanese game industry.
