The Taipei Computer Association (TCA), leading representative of Taiwan's IT industry, was established as a non-profit organization in Taipei City on November 5, 1974.
Over the past three decades, its branch offices have expanded at home and abroad. Internationally, the TCA has overseas representative offices in Tokyo, Japan and Suzhou, China. Its corporate members have grown from 15 to more than 4,000, while personnel has increased to more than 200 to better serve the organization's growing membership.
The TCA is a service-oriented organization. Some of its major services include exhibition services, China business services, government-related activities, training, computer skills promotion and e-TCA. Each year, the TCA organizes first-rate domestic and international exhibitions on IT, telecommunications, software and multimedia in Taiwan. Some of the most famous exhibitions organized by the TCA include the Taipei Game Show, COMPUTEX TAIPEI and IT Month, which attract more than 3 million visitors annually.
The TCA aims to create and generate profit for its corporate members and the general public, as well as promote cooperation among businesses operating in the IT industry. Its mandate is to ensure the continuing growth and prosperity of the IT industry in Taiwan.
