Gamescom plans London press conference
A UK press event for the gamescom Cologne consumer and trade show has been announced by organisers, to take place on May 4 at the Hoxton Hotel in London.
The press event is aimed at buyers and journalists, in an attempt to ensure strong attendance at the 2010 gamescom show in Cologne this August.
The event will be attended by the Cologne Trade Fair's vice president of IT and digital entertainment Kai Schmude and German Trade Association of Interactive Entertainment Software CEO Olaf Wolters.
With no regular UK event to rival it gamescom has become the largest trade event in Europe, with 245,000 visitors, 458 exhibitors and 4,100 journalists in attendance at the 2009 event.
