The Industry Speaker Day, a chance for game industry professionals and enthusiasts alike to come together, begins with a special keynote by Clint Hocking, Creative Director at Ubisoft (Splinter Cell, Far Cry 2) and a popular and outspoken presence in the industry.
Saturday's lineup of speakers features designers and producers from top companies like Epic, Insomniac, Radical, Relic, and many more, speaking on topics ranging from Prototyping to Designing for Consoles.
The Industry Speaker Day concludes with a panel discussion, moderated by Electric Playground's Victor Lucas and featuring key players from EA, Relic, and more – sure to be a spirited conversation tackling some of the key challenges of game design and development.
Open House
For those thinking about joining the game industry, the one-year Game Design program at VFS opens its doors for a free day-long Open House held in conjunction with Game Design Expo. Visitors will meet Head of Department Dave Warfield, see demonstrations of student games, and experience sample classes taught by expert VFS instructors.
The morning and afternoon tracks are punctuated by an exclusive schedule of industry presentations, including speakers from LucasArts, Big Fish Games, and Vicarious Visions, and a Women in Games panel featuring some of the industry’s leading lights.
