March 5, 2010—CGE Services Corporation has announced that the 2010 Classic Gaming Expo will rock Tropicana Las Vegas on the weekend of July 31 and August 1, 2010.

WHAT: QuakeCon is a free convention held yearly in Dallas, Texas brought to you by id Software, Bethesda Softworks and their parent company ZeniMax Media Inc.. Thousands of gamers gather in one location to play with their friends on a giant gaming network, see the latest in cool technology, hear about upcoming games and compete in world-class tournaments.

The biggest names in MMO media are partnering with LFGX

Honoring the achievements of the MMO game development industry

Minneapolis, MN – February 3, 2010 – Last Straw Productions announced today the first annual Last Straw MMO Developer Awards. The world's first award show designed specifically for massively multiplayer online games will be given at the Looking For Group Expo coming this June to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Winners are chosen by a board of media partners and by votes from players at the official LFGX site at www.lfgexpo.com.

A Celebration of MMOs and the people who play them

Minneapolis, MN – December 10, 2009 – Last Straw Productions announced today the founding of Looking for Group Expo (LFGX), a massively multiplayer online game fan event like no other. Last Straw also announced a call for speakers and sponsors. Exhibit space will be limited to ensure an incredible experience for gamers during the inaugural event. The event will be held June 25-27, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The creators of popular online comic Penny Arcade have opened donations for this year's Child's Play charity, which has contributed over $5 million in games and toys to children's hospitals worldwide since 2003.

In its inaugural year, when it was founded in part as a response to negative coverage of video games and gamers in the media, Child's Play raised over a quarter-million dollars for the Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. Since then, the program has expanded to partner with 69 hospitals across six countries.

A summary of Neoncon 2009
Neoncon 2009 marks the third year of the convention in Las Vegas, their second at Palace Station Hotel and Casino. What's fantastic about this year in particular is that GamesU was sponsored by Gen Con! Working with Gen Con has many benefits, as was evident at this year's event.

As soon as I walked upstairs from the main casino floor, I knew I was in the right place. The layout naturally began with the registration area. Right across from that was the vendor area, then a room for Warhammer 40k, Miniatures, Pick-up Gaming, RPG, Board, GamesU, and LARP (Live Action Roleplay).
