Boston Festival of Indie Games 2015: Over 100 Curated Games to be Featured in Indie Showcase

Digital and tabletop indie developers gather for a one-of-a-kind celebration of the local gaming industry

August 20, 2015 – Cambridge, MA – The Boston Festival of Indie Games is proud to announce that this year’s festival will host over 100 expert-curated indie games from around the country. This year’s festival takes place on Saturday, September 12th, 2015 at the MIT Johnson Athletic Center, and tickets are available here.

From among hundreds of entries, festival curators have hand-picked the most unique, amusing, edgy, and refreshing games to be a part of this year’s festival. The list of games accepted into this year’s Digital and Tabletop Showcases can be found on bostonfig.com. Our annual gathering of developers, publishers, fans, gamers, bloggers, and reporters is family-friendly and is the perfect way to dive into the world of independent games.

With side-scrolling shooters, casual flash games, colorful and fast-paced puzzle challenges, wild and wacky card games, and so much more, the Boston Festival of Indie Games has it all! Meet the best and brightest minds in the indie games scene – and maybe even play some games.

Attendees will be able to choose both a tabletop and digital game of their choice that will receive the Audience Choice Award. Votes will be cast by ballot, and the winners will be announced at the Figgy Awards Ceremony after the exhibition hall closes.

The Boston Festival of Indie Games is open to the public and will take place at the Johnson Athletic Center at MIT in Cambridge, MA. Festival attendees play video games and tabletop games in a casual, inclusive environment, plus attend a musical performance by Videri String Quartet and keynote speech by Susan Gold, Founder and President of Global Game Jam.
